$ Update – To date we have raised $87,827!!! We have raised $18,000 of the $25,000 for the Rasmuson challenge grant and have until the end of April to keep at it. **Update since the meeting – We have officially raised the full $25,000 for the grant!!! Way to go team.**

There is a possible $45,000 grant coming from MatSu Health Foundation. We should find out about this in mid April. The Jessica Stevens foundation will be awarding us $5000. We have a grant request in from Hamburger Helper. This request needs as much community input as possible. The deadline to comment online is March 31st. Donations from the cruise association were not as fruitful as hoped. Princess has pledged $750.

Other updates:
Nancy – Food for the build – She is making lots of calls and soliciting donations.

Diane – Volunteer coordinator – She will send out a “Save the date” e-mail to everyone on our volunteer list so far. The window of build dates has gotten larger because of all the work that needs to be accomplished before the build week.

Barbara – We have the Talkeetna Christian Center reserved for daycare for Wed – Sat. Still looking into a place for Sunday. She has been making lots of calls and contacts for groups outside Talkeetna who might be interested in volunteering for the build. She will also look into donor plaques for the components.

Anita – She has designed a plan for the face of the wavy slide. It is a raven design – very colorful – very cool.

Noelle – she will look into all non-profits in the Talkeetna area to confirm no other event conflicts with our build dates.

Barn Dance Fundraiser – Saturday April 26. Thank you to Kim Heninger for volunteering to coordinate the food for the dance. Her contact is 733-4450. Christi Seay will be in charge of the silent auction. If you have things to donate or ideas please contact her at 733-7854. There will be a separate e-mail outlining what help we still need.
