Money:
We currently have 4,986.58 in our bank account.
We have paid Leathers the 950.00 retainer to secure our build dates.
The October Magic show
It was a great success! We raised 2,281.00! And everyone had a great time!

We now have a pay pal account so anyone around the world can donate with ease! Its a great time to send out an email to all your friends and relatives and encourage them to purchase a fence picket!
Materials list and budget.
This is a work in progress. Noelle and Howard have assembled lots of quotes and Anita is taking over. We should have a estimate by the next meeting.
Grants:
We went over the list of grants that we are going to be applying for and put them in order of priority. We also went over the list of grant possibilities from the Leathers Packet. Charlie and Erica have divided up the list and will look into all of them to see if our project will apply and we will then add them to our list.
Priority 1- Bed Tax Grant
Charlie attended the Community Council Meeting and they voted to write a letter in support or our project. We decided that we would apply to purchase the ground cover for the playground, the quote that we have is for 15,000.00. Charlie and Erica are both working on getting the grant ready for the deadline and also getting the project listed on the CIP.
Priority 2- Rasmussen and Murdock Grants
We will be applying for a 25,000.00 grant from Rasmussen Foundation.
Fundraising
Major donors campaign
A list of major donors has been assembled.
Caitlin Palmer (thanks Caitlin!) has volunteered to keep track of all the information. Caitlin@climbalaska.org 733 1099
Charlie will be keeping track of any picket sales.
I will be sending a separate email to the committee members that have already signed up to contact Major Donors. It will contain the following information.
1.) The outline describing the process we will be using.
2,)The letter that we will be sending to prospective donors to go along with the brochure.
3.) Suggestions/techniques for asking for money.
4.) A check list for committee members to keep track of their communication.
5.) A copy of the Components price list.
So far Charlie, Erica, Anita, Laura Caillet, Kristy Mossanan, Karey, Barbara,Caitlin, Noelle are the only Committee members who have signed up to make calls. We have a huge list and need some more help with this.
I,(Karey) will have the list all weekend. I will have it with me at our table at the St. Bernard's Craft fair on Saturday so stop by. Or you can call me at home 733-7677. After the weekend Caitlin will have it so if you can please get in touch and sign up to make some calls. This is a huge part of our fundraising plan. Once you have signed up you will get the email outline.
Future events
We are still planning to have a desert/wine tasting and silent auction sometime in February.
Other suggestions for after the new year are:
1.)contra dance
2.) puppet show
3.) hand print sale for the kids

Site
We have sent a letter drafted by Charlie to Dwayne Adams regarding the final draft of the site. We have stated that we continue to like Alternative A with the playground to the south of the existing library and the new library north of Twister Creek. would like to see the playground on the South side of the library. Some parking spaces can be added directly south of the library for the playground. The playground itself could then be moved a little further south.
The next public facilities meeting is scheduled for the week after Thanksgiving. We will send out and update when we know the exact date, time and location.
Next Playground Meeting
2 weeks from last Wednesday would be the night before Thanksgiving. Due to the very poor turn out at the last meeting I hesitate to have a meeting the night before Thanksgiving. So Tuesday November 20th will be the date. 6:30pm at the Roadhouse. Hope to see some more of you there!
