January 30, 2008
In attendance: Laurel Vincente, Nancy Juergens, Tasja Williams, Laura Caillet.
Financial Update:
We have crossed the $50,000 mark in our fundraising efforts! Good work everyone. Don’t stop now – we still have a way to go. Caitlin will be e-mailing out an updated list of our possible donors. If you have signed up to contact someone please make sure you have followed through and then let Caitlin know. We have about $45,000 pending in grant proposals and a few big companies still to approach yet. No update from Charlie as he is away.
Land Update:
We are still waiting on a few important pieces of info from the Borough in order to complete the DOT permit. Laura has the permits and will meet with Charlie when he returns to get info he has from Linda Brenner. Joe Reichert and Mark Wildermuth have volunteered to get started on the process of preparing the site for building. We will need another volunteer to fill the role of site captain as build day draws nearer.
Design:
Karey received the final drawings from John Dean at Leathers – they look great! We have a balance due to Leathers for this phase of the project that Charlie will pay upon his return.
Wine Tasting Fundraiser: Saturday Feb 9th 7pm at Whole Wheat Radio
Laurel reported that everything seems to be on track. There are a few items missing still but plans were made to get them. She will ask Costco about a donation of paper products and /or flowers. There was a sign up list of things to do e-mailed - If you would like to help and are not on the list please contact Laurel Vincente or Christie Seay. A carte was made for KTNA to play for advertising. Keep talking about the fundraiser to everyone you know. Nancy contacted the Senior Center about using their round tables. We can use them but will need to come up with round table cloths. We arranged one last meeting of those involved in this planning to meet at Whole Wheat Radio on Sunday Feb 3rd, 2pm. This meeting will allow us to decide on table arrangement and finalize all plans. Anyone who wants to help is welcome.
Organization Day:
This is the next big step with Leathers’ in preparing for our build. The date has been set for Monday March 10th. We are coordinating again with Seward so our travel expenses will be less. It will be an entire day of meeting with the different committee heads as well as looking at our site and what has to be done to prepare. Karey and Laura will be putting together the schedule for the day and making sure everyone knows where to be and when. Further plans will be talked about at the next meeting.
Next meeting will be Monday February 11th 6:30 at the Roadhouse.
